So,we are off to San Francisco for a bit of a vacation and i have decided to leave the bulk at home. Usually we take at least one laptop, a portable hard drive and then of course all of my camera gear. This time, I wanted to keep it light and save my poor, aching back and thus, only packed one suitcase for both of us, the iPad and yes....some camera gear.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to purchase an mirrorless camera system this time around, but that's mostly due to there being so many new ones coming out so soon, and im waiting to test a few out. Anyway, it should be an interesting experiment for me, just the iPad my D300 and only 3 lenses. Plus of course, the new compact flash adapter for the iPad. Oh, and a tripod ;)

I've also decided that instead of shooting RAW, I'll try out jpg fine, which will make storage options easier. Should be ok so long as I nail exposure. So that's it for now, the plane will be boarding in about 10 minutes.
