Hi
I have a an iMAc and the Superdrive seems to have died, it does not see the disc and makes a lot of noise looking for it. In desperation I bought a Samsung SE-208 Combo drive that says it MAC compatible. I assumed it would be a case of plugging it in and using it by selecting this new burner when I use Toast, iTunes etc. My problem is that the drive is not showing any where and when I try to use Toast it attempts to use the Superdrive and does not shw any options.

I welcome any advice

Regards

What version of Toast are you using?

When you go to burn the disc in iTunes, it should allow you to choose which burner you want to use. Select the external and it should remember that one as the default going forward.
