Cs 3 and new os

I currently have cs3 software for illustrator and photoshop. Will this still work if I update to the latest os as it does my needs and would be reluctant to pay for the more recent updates to cs

Hi, I updated to Lion a few months ago, and Photoshop CS3 still worked fine.

I think it's only the installer that is PPC, so if you either go to Lion as an upgrade or restore from a Time Machine backup when prompted after a fresh installation, you should be fine.

The fact that I later went back to Snow Leopard was due to other issues.

I haven't had to reinstall my CS3, but I know for a fact it works fine in Lion because I use it every day (and InDesign, and even Illustrator every now and again).

I suspect hugtheslug is right.
