Dumb question probably, but ... are you jailbreaking a still-in-warranty iPhone for some specific purpose, or just for the halibut?
If the latter, why not just give up? Absinthe might be buggy or not ready for prime time. I think jailbreaking an in-warranty, under-contract iPhone is generally a bad idea without some very specific need.
Just as an example, let's say you can't get out of this problem. Good luck taking THAT to an Apple Store for servicing ...
