is it possible for raid 1 in macbook pro

just curious if I took the cd rom out and placed a hd bay adapter if i added a second hard drive if there was any way to set up raid 1 in case one of the drives fail. never messed with raid before so not sure what is needed besides at least 2 hard drives.

The only way you "might" be able to run RAID is if the adapter you replace the optical drive with has a RAID controller integrated into it. Even then, I believe it would only handle drives directly connected to it, so the existing HDD would probably not work with it anyways.
