    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

i was told that i need to transfer this footage properly before i get started. ?

i have it all on a external drive right now.

what do i need to do to properly set up my session so this footage comes out looking properly?

Nothing so far...You have 1280x720 HD footage shot at 60fps...bring it into FCP and it will recognize the resolution and framerate...I think the frames per second is throwing you off....don't worry about it.

hmmm.

here's my problem.

the footage was all shot in HD ... and the person i obtained the material from mentioned something about having to transcode the footage. ?

basically ... when i look at this footage in the viewer in FCP ... it just looks like it was shot on some crumby handy cam ... like it doesnt have a pro look at all. (even though it was shot with MD5 cameras.)

any ideas? hope that makes sense.
