Ok so i have Snow Leopard on a flash drive. It's not reformatted it just the plain dmg file. My question is, can i go into disk utility under Macintosh HD then go to the restore tab and restore it from the dmg file on my flash drive?

Snow Leopard is not distributed as a .dmg. If you would like to use Snow Leopard, buy the disc.
