this is something i find very irritating about the latest version of OSX, when i go to shut down there is the checkbox "reopen windows when logging back in", i usually forget about it and the macbook starts up again with all the stuff reopening which i don't like. Is there any way to permanently disable this feature?

When you shut down uncheck "reopen windows when logging in" it does get annoying.

thanks that seems to have stopped that, there is some things about this osx lion that are very annoying.
Is there some way to stop safari opening old pages then, in the past i used command Q to close it down which closed it down and then started a new page, now doing that and starting it up brings all the old pages back, I know the x at the top works but i have got used to command Q, is there a way to sort this?
