is there an app, etc that alerts you the split second you receive an email from a specific sender for the iphone?

i have changed the settings but it only checks every 15 min or so, but i wish i could get an alert when i get a email from work, like an alarm would go off

thanks.

So just trying to get an idea of what you've got going on, it sounds like (correct me if I'm wrong) you've got 1 email that combines personal and work email, and you want alerts from work emails only? Or do you want just alerts from a specific domain.

hmm

im just looking for an app that will alert you or alarm when you get an email from a specific sender...

i get emails all day but my iphone alerts me every 15 min regardless of when or who sent them during that period...

i was hoping that when work (a specific address) sends an email it would instantly push and alarm

hope that clears it up

if your work uses an exchange server it will automatically push emails.

What you're trying to do is more server side then on your iphone. The push feature is dependent on the email application/server not on the phone so basically what you'd want an app to do is to fetch constantly from a specific filter you could setup. I don't know of an app that would do that.

There's nothing built into iOS that can do what you're looking to do, though I think that's not a bad suggestion to make.

You might want to hunt around in the App Store for email apps ... there might be one that already has this feature.
