Empty Secure Trash Problem

Attempting to Secure Empty Trash and it clears out most of the files but then tells me that I don't have "permission" to access several files; who decided that?!; I'm the only person using this computer, I'm the only person accessing any files on this computer; so what's the problem and what's the solution? Thanks for info. Appreciated.

Thank you for your response. Don't know what changed, but this time when I attempted to empty the trash everything disappeared -- so I guess there's no problem. Thanks again.
