My mbp 1226 displays out of the dvi port, however it is very very dim on the actual lap top screen. The apple light in the back of the monitor doesnt light up. I have tried 3 different working screen assemblies they all have the same symptoms- no display. The computer also has a strange power issue. the older 60w power chord only turns on the computer with the battery installed in the computer, however, the newer MBP 60 watt power cord turns on the computer with OR without the battery installed. If I pull the battery with the older 60W power cord still attached, the computer turns off, but it is more of a "sleep". I say this because as soon as I remount the battery, the computer "wakes" and I am back to everything I was doing previously - all windows open.

This may or maynot be associated with it ?

TIA for your freedback
