Ever since I upgraded to lion I have been unable play a DVD or slide show to a external projector with the lid open on my Macbook pro. Since upgrading a random screen saver appears on the projected screen when the lid is left open. If I close the lid screen saver does not appear, however I can not access the keys to advance a slide show or anything that requires the keyboard. This seems a real step back in the Apple software. I am hoping it simply a setting I have not found.

Thanks !

Have you got your MacBook Pro set to "mirror" the display?

I did before the upgrade. Since I don't have external device currently hooked up I see no way to check. I assume when get back work ( school ) and hookup the projector I should see it in the profile correct ?. I'll confirm it is mirror.

Thanks and I'll get back to you
