Which keyboard shortcuts / hotkeys do you use on your Mac and in which application? What does it do?

Are there any keys that you used to love, but is now either removed from the Mac, changed to multitouch or has a different outcome then before? Do you love or hate some of the newest functions, like the Launchpad- button?

Anyone who has something cool and useful to share? Thanks!

The only keyboard shortcuts I use are for screenshots...

command > shift > 3 for the whole screen
command > shift > 4 brings up a cursor to choose on the screen where you want.

BTW - Welcome to the forum. Being a bit of a noob myself, I can safely say you will enjoy your stay here. Excellent forum.

Don't forget..

command > shift > 4 > space bar (it brings up a camera so you can click on any window to capture it).

There's a sticky thread somewhere on this forum that has a huge list of keyboard shortcuts and is well worth reading.

Command + Q (Quits current application)

Command + C (copy)

Command + V (paste)

I also use Command + Shift + 4 as mentioned above.

Probably use many other shortcuts as well without even realizing I'm doing it.

Not many, and mostly with text (including those in last post). As a newcomer to Mac I really missed the page up and down keys but found an answer.

Command + Z reverses last action in text

Command + up arrow goes to top of page/screen

Command + down arrow " bottom "

Command + + zooms text size

Command + - (hyphen) reduces text size

Yes I use the copy and paste ones a lot. Also useful is Command + space bar (Spotlight)

I use a lot - mostly in the Adobe Suite though. I do miss the "print screen" button from Windows but I'm used to the Mac shortcuts for that now and prefer that I have different ways to do it.

I've also configured my magic mouse to have as many touch options as I can remember/find convenient.
