Disk not ejected properly....

First post here hello fellow Mac users! Imac i5 Lion using old G5 HD in an external case with usb for timemachine back up. I occasionally get the error message telling me I didnt eject the disc properly. Well, I didnt eject the disk period! Any suggestions?

Might be a bad connection caused by the USB cable going from your external HD into the iMac. Try using a different cable and see if it helps.

Hey you again lol...Great idea I will definitely try that. AFTER I randomly trash some system files. Maybe even when I am using the terminal lol. Thanks Evan I will let you know as it seems the message appears late eves or early morns after sleep.
