My MacBook Pro which is running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 is having some issues starting up. I've tried various things and the only thing left to try is to boot up into the installation CD and run Disk Utility.
Problem is, I've misplaced my Snow Leopard disk... So I'm in the apple store about to purchase a new Snow Leopard disk when I see stuff about Lion on there. So I'm wondering whether I should just buy the Lion CD so that I can upgrade to it when/if I get my mac fixed. Of course, the question is, can I run disk utility from the Lion installation CD for my Snow Leopard MacBook Pro?
Thanks!
