Cleaning Touch Screen

I got a used iPod Touch off eBay. It has some shallow scratches on the screen - not deep, they look almost like small water droplets or when sprinkling rain gets on your Touch screen. Anyway, I was wondering if I could use Novus #1 Plastic Cleaner on it?

You should only use water on the screen and a good cloth nothing else because once there are chemicals and scratches are on it you have to get a whole new screen.
