iPhoto won't download photos

For some reason iPhoto has stopped recognizing files I am trying to download from my camera.

It worked fine on Friday but not on Monday - no software updates in between and nothing has changed at all.

Have come across this issue in other forums and it seems its an Apple issue.

What I want to know is how can I get my photos off the camera ??!!

What happens when you attach the camera to your Mac? Is the camera recognized? Also make sure the camera battery has enough charge so that it can be picked up by the system and the photos transferred.

You really haven't given us much to go on.
