Ok, I downloaded Tiger from the Apple Developer section so I know have tiger_8a228_userdvd.dmg on my desktop. I open it and see the install icon. When I click that it tells me to click restart to restart the computer and start the install process. I click restart but the install doesn't start. I then read the install directions which tell me I can also set it to open on start up in my system settings, I do that and restart and it doesn't start the install process.....how can I install Tiger from this download???

Thanks!

Nope. When the computer restarts it is trying to boot from the DVD, which is unmounted when the computer restarts

See if you can access a friend's computer to burn the DVD first. I presume you have a combo drive on yours? It should READ fine.
