    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

Hello,

I'm having a problem with exporting some DV PAL footage I"ve been editing. In FCP, it looks great (as good as mini dv footage can look, i guess...) but when I send to Compressor, and try to export, the preview is showing really bad interlacing lines, and it just looks terrible!

I've chosen MPEG-2 5.0 Mbps 2-pass for the video, and Dolby Digital Professional 2.0 for the audio. When I go into the settings for the video, i can only choose from 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios, and obviously I need 5:4.

This is to burn onto DVD, so I need the best quality possible, does anyone have any advice they can give me for exporting formats etc?

Thanks
J
