How do I install Airplay? Can't find "white trangle" app on my ipad

Hi, so glad I found this forum.

I got the apple tv the other day, and want to have my mac mini be the central point of our totally sync'd apple system. I also have an ipad 1 and an iphone.

I think one of the final steps is installing Airplay. Seems there is an app with a white triangle I need? I can't find it anywhere!

If you can help me with this, I would be eternally grateful. My husband and I are in competition to figure this out and I want to win!

There isn't an AirPlay APP per se. When you play YouTube or iTunes on your iPad, if you have an AirPlay compatible device on and linked to your network you will see an icon on the play control bar (where volume play/pause etc is) touch that and the devices available for streaming will pop up.

BTW you can't stream to the Mac Mini without a 3rd party APP such as AirServer.
