adding a printer

Hi
Could someone walk me through the steps to set up a printer I have my HP laserjet connected with a USB from the printer and the firewire to the computer. What is the next step? Please help

20" intel iMac, 15" MBP, 3 X 13.3" MB (family etc), G4 tower, 12" G4 PowerBook, iBook G4, 20" iMacG5
Applications > Utilities > Printer Setup Utility > Add printer > Its simple from there.

Actually you might already be done:
Try hitting apple+p (or clicking on file-> print) and see if your printer appears in the drop-down list.

I was baffled at first because my iBook couldn't find any 'new' printers - it had already recognised my deskjet 3000 on its own when I plugged it in.
