not booting

2010 13" macbook, 4th gen ipod touch
i keep getting the error, non bootable drive, press any key to boot from disk, and when i press a key nothing happens. what do i need to do?

no it will not even boot with the osx cd. i put it in, and press any key as it says, and nothing happens.
