Can't get a DVD movie to play :=(

Have a new MacBook Pro and wanted to watch a movie. Put the DVD in, but it won't play........how do I make this happen?

What happens when you launch DVD Player?

The little control panel comes up in the lower left hand of my screen, and I get the audio, but no video at all.

Does this happen with all DVDs you try to play ?

Maybe try playing the DVD using: VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework! ?

Actually, I've been playing around with a few things, and finally did get it to work! Still struggling to make the big mental switch from PC to Mac! Wish I lived closer to a Mac Store............minimum 3 hours away Oh well! At least I've got this one figured out. Thanks for your reply!
