I installed Microsoft Office on my IMAC and I would like to remove 2 apps that got installed on my IMAC. Remote desktop and MSN chat software I would like to remove from my brand new IMAC.

You can certainly try to drag those applications to the trash and remove them that way. But, Remote Desktop, at least is something that you have to explicitly start to use but MSN chat could be something that could start automatically on boot. If you configure MSN chat not to startup, then what's the harm in having these applications that came along with the office suite?

There is nothing wrong with leaving items loaded on the system that your not using.
When I was a windows operator i would allways remove software I did not use and I was wanting to continue the same direction on my new Mac computer.

I can understand removing unused applications to free up space or something..but sometimes these suites of applications have underlying links into other parts and removing them might break the whole suite..so unless you're hurting for space, there's no need to go hunting for small parts of a much bigger suite..

Additionally, Windows works VERY differently than Mac OS and a lot of things that easily cause issues on Windows don't readily affect Mac OS so you can break out some of your habits from your Windows days..
