I have 10.4.11 and I've HEARD I can update it to 10.5 Leopard... but looking online I can only find it for $250 or so... anyone have an idea where I can find a cheap version or perhaps buy it from one of you fellas?

I plan to update this Mac Pro to the 10.5 which would be the last OSX for it since it's non intel... then buy an intel machine for my Adobe CS5 suite for work.

If I can find a Leopard upgrade cheap enough, it would be worth it, otherwise this machine will stay where it is or perhaps be sold.

Thanks!

Way... way too many specs to list.
Why is it $200? Supply and demand. It's not available anywhere but used.. so the people that need it.. need it.

You couldn't possibly have checked e-Bay...I did just a few days ago...an full retail install disks were selling for $75-$100.

Guess I figured it was an older system and would be $29 like snow leopard.

This would be a bad assumption. Original prices for full retail OS X install disks prior to Snow Leopard (10.0, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5) were in the $99 - $129 range...with Leopard 10.5 originally selling for $129.

OS 10.5 may be an older OS...but it's the "latest & greatest" OS for some G4 and all G5 based computers...thus the demand remains high, and the price remains close to it's original selling price.

And as I said before, all Mac Pros are Intel. Suggest you may well have as G5. G5's have one DVR door on the front of the machine, Mac Pros have two. That is the quickest way to tell them apart.
