I have accidentally deleted an important calendar in iCal. Can the calendar somehow be recalled?

In the File menu of iCal, there is a Backup iCal... command. If you've used that to backup everything, then yes. Or, if you've backed it up with Time Machine, then yes. If neither of the above, then no.
