Hi,

When I go on to safe mode my graphics and not fuzzy and when I go on normal mode there are fuzzy. Could I move the graphics drivers from safe mode to normal mode.

How could this be done?

Thanks

Make sure you're running the iMac at its native resolution and not another. Since you neglected to tell us which iMac G5 you have (year and model) we can't advise what the resolution should be. But usually, if you go to System Preferences, Displays, (depending on version of OS X) you can set the resolution to the default native one.

And no, Safe mode only limits what drivers are loaded, they are not different from normal mode.

Does the iMac have an iSight camera?

Your resolution should be set at 1680x1050.

mines does not got that far it goes only to 1440 x 900 and there a line fuzzy across the screen. But on the apple communicates forum he said:

Apple Support Communities

See if you display is fine in safemode. poweroff. hold down the shift key. poweron.

If so...

Running in Safe mode leaves out some video drivers. Which results in machine not using advanced video hardware. You can run in normal mode but using the safe mode video drivers. For more details see:

Look through this thread. see the second page. You don't have to read through the first page. Just go to the part where I try a solution that works.

Would this work?

And it's still fuzzy at that resolution? Can you describe Fuzzy? I wonder if it would show up on a screen shot?

If you mean the lines toward the end of the video, that looks like my 20" iSight when the video connector where the LCD plugs into the Logicboard was dirty. I took out the screws and plug and cleaned it with contact cleaner and plugged and unplugged it a few times and it was as good as new.

I mines is like that but the apple communicates said this:

That is a good point about not doing it in Safe mode but if I remember mine only did it in normal more and not at the boot up screens.

Did you try moving that plist that was mentioned in that thread?

As you were told in the first reply, there are no Safe Mode drivers. The drivers are the same, however, in Safe Mode some drivers such as sound are not loaded.
