Hi there !

I have an IMac i5 mid 2011 and a MacBook Pro mid 2009, both running Lion. I intend to periodically synchronize the Home folder for one account on the MacBook Pro with another Home folder for one account on the IMac. Anyone could suggest the best way to do that and the recommended software/connections type.

Thanks in advance,

Your Mac's Specs
2011 13" 10.8 (latest)
You can move your home folder to an external drive, and then plug it into the computer you want to use.

Read this:

Move Your Mac's Home Folder to a New Location

Once you move it, delete the old ones, and set each computer to be pointed to the external drive where the home folder is and then your content should be there when you plug it in.

Be careful, and make extra backups.

An inexpensive (and WAAAAY less risky!) alternative is to buy ChronoSync by Econ Technology, highly recommended.
