How to unhide the user/library folder?

Was just wondering how to unhide the user/my username/library folder. I did a search and was pointed to a post that said I can hit option on the go menu but the poster said that was easier so others on your system can't mess with your files. I am the only person who uses my computer and was just wondering if there is a way that unhide these folders.

Well, you can unhide it. However, in general, it's one of those places that can drive things into a huge mess if you're not careful about what you're doing. At any rate, with that caveat, and now ANYONE who's read my post knows anything they do is all on their shoulders..

chflags nohidden ~/Library/

to set it back to default:
chflags hidden ~/Library/

In Finder hold down option key > Go. Click on library to open.
The library icon will then be on the top of the finder window... drag library icon to the Finder sidebar.. Simple drag and drop.
