I am going to get a powerbook G4 aluminum 15" 1.5GHz that the charger has sopped working on and has a dead battery and the only thing I have is a good ibook g3 battery (from a 600MHz 12 in.). these batteries look almost identical and the voltage is the same (10.8v) Do you think it will work just to test it?
I really hope so because otherwise I will not know if it works or not!

I seriously doubt it. For starters...Apple is almost always changing things:

- footprint/shape of the battery
- power requirements of the laptop
- different closures
- different insertion methods
- AND...the iBook G3 (either the earlier "Clamshell" version or the white iBook version)...will have a plastic backing...and the Powerbook G4 will have an aluminum backing (thus almost guaranteeing it will be different)

You would be better off with a new charger, should be $20 or less

I know I would be better off with a good charger, but I am going to get it today so this is more of a last resort. :\

There could be a long shot possibility (depending on the models) that the charger from your G3 iBook (assuming it's one of the white ones) could fit the Powerbook G4...at least for testing purposes.

I highly doubt that it will work. Seeing as your PowerBook is a 15" and your iBook is a 12" the batteries are most likely different sizes.
