Finder stuck in loop

Got a brand new 13 inch macbook pro Lion, and when I start up a window pops up and says finder was not shut down properly and it flashes on and off, the top bar also flashes on and off. I can not get to force quit because of the flashing bar and window, but I can get to everything else. Safari, itunes, etc.. jsut brought it to the shop but last night I called applecare and they asked me to reinstall lion, which I did but it continued to do the same thing after reinstall. Anyone have a situation like this?

Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM. See if that helps.
