Firefox crashes - please help

iMac 2.0 GHz 4GB RAM OSX 10.9.3
Out of the blue, Firefox started crashing whenever I launched it. I downloaded the latest version (9.01) but it's still crashing. My partner also has an account on this computer but when she's logged in there's no problem with firefox! Can anyone suggest why this might be?

I can't remember why I use Firefox! I don't mind swithching to Safari but I can't see how to switch all my bookmarks from Firefox to safari. Can anyone help on this.

I've got a 2.4 GHZ Intel core 2 duo imac with 3GB of memory and I'm using leopard 10.5.8

Try launching Firefox with a new profile since it's very possible that your user profile is corrupt. Use these instructions to create a new profile.
