I work in a school and we are trying to bind an OS X iMac to our AD without success. We have bound quite a few various Macs over the past year or so - so have a good idea on how it's all meant to work.
The current problem is I suspect something to do with it's name; we noticed that despite being called 'office 2 imac' somewhere along the line it had decided that it 'office 3 imac' and 'office 3 imac' is already happily bound to.the MS Domain.
We seem to have successfully renamed 'office 2 imac' now and it appears to have accepted it's new name and appears in DHCP as 'office 2 imac' on our MS domain.
However, try to bind it and it again it persists in thinking it is 'office 3 imac'.
Any suggestions please?
