Hi everyone, today my white apple mac has stopped charging, it is plugged in and the light is green but the battery percentage keeps getting lower. Ive had it for about 2 years now, has the battery run out? Should I buy a new one? Thanks

Download the free CoconutBattery application and see what it says about your battery. It does, however, sound like you may need a new one.

Does It run off the power adapter or the battery when it is plugged in?

Mine used to randomly get stuck at 60% or so and not go above it... but if you let the battery completely drain out, then charge back to full uninterrupted, then the battery resumes "normal functioning"... don't know if this applies to your particular problem, but it worked for me.

Or you could get the battery replaced. :/

Had the same problem with my newer macbook a while ago. I had no more charging light though and only the cable was actually broken. You should check on that and if your macbook doesn't charge at all maybe the actually power connection is broken. I was told that this could happen as well.
