Auto start mac mail on log in

Hi

Very simple solution I'm sure but how can I enable mac mail to start automatically when I log in?

21.5' iMac, 2.5 GHz. 8GB RAM.
Hello.

What you need to do is press crtl and click over Mail.
There should be a list above it with "Options" in it.
Click into Options and enable "Open at Login."

Your Mail should now open every time you login.

Do you know is there anyway to have it open in the background?

 > System Preferences > Users & Groups > click your user > Login Items > make sure "Hide" is checked for Mail.
