Dropped macbook; trop screen black.

My macbook (the white one) dropped and unfortunately all the impact landed on the top left hand corner. It's working perfectly fine except for the fact that there's this patch of black on the top.

Any ideas of what's wrong with it? Is it fixable (and maybe how much would it be?) I'm taking it to the technician tomorrow but I just want a general idea of what's wrong, I'm really worried =S

It appears the shock from dropping it has damaged the LCD display. It probably needs to be changed out. Make sure you get an estimate of repairs first before allowing the repairs to be made. Replacing the LCD could be expensive having it done by an Apple tech.
