No Flashing Light

2008 MBP , have just increased my ram from 2 to 4GB & now the flashing light on the front right hand side will not work.
any suggestions appreciated.

Would the "flashing light" you're referring to be the pulsing "sleep light"?

Where did you purchase the ram from?

Thanks for the info. So under what conditions does the "flashing light" not work?

And if you remove the new ram that was installed...and put the old ram back in...does the "flashing light" work normally?

If the flashing light works normally after installing the old ram...then the answer is simple...something is wrong with the new ram...and it needs to be returned for replacement.

many thanks for your comments, i have just re-fitted the new ram & all now seems ok...
maybe put it down to 'operator error'.
the light is now pulsing... i take it the light only pulses when the screen is closed.
thanks again for your prompt assistance.
