insufficient disk space when I just cleared it

So yesterday I clean out some old files on my mac book pro, when I was done I had about 15 gigs of space on my hard drive. Today I downloaded a few TV shows using VUZE and I get a message saying I have less to 200mgs. I can't understand how I go from 15 gigs to 200megs in less than 24 hours when I the TV shows I download are deleted right after I watch them. Where did all my hard drive space go?

Did you empty the Trash after deleting all those files?

And with only 15GB disk space you need a larger hard drive.
