Title says it all really, if i had to chose one only, my choice would be Alfred, just wondering what other peoples favourite free app is.

Edit by app i mean 3rd party not included with osx

Sorry, you can't change the rules once the game has begun ... that is cheating :Angry-Tongue:

Way... way too many specs to list.
Sofortbild ;)

Mostly because I've never quite gotten Lightroom to handle tethered shooting quite right. Course, it could be my decrepit D200.

The only app that lets me put BBC iPLayer programs on my iPhone, reminds me - I must give them a donation when the next PayPal payement goes in

Of all the browsers, you guys had to choose the bad ones? :p

Nice choice. Not my essential free app but definitely up there.

I think I might have to also go with Alfred seeing as how I live off of it. There's always vim too (sorry emacs users but you've chosen the wrong editor). ;)

I rely heavily on XPad and Cyberduck (and Safari and iChat) for my work but I could easily substitute them with an alternatives if I needed to.

Hmmm, this is a really difficult question to answer! Since you changed the conditions halfway through I'm going to pick two (one built-in and one third-party)

Built-in: Safari, easily.
Third party: Probably VisualHub or OnyX

Max.
By far the best ripper for CD's and converting FLAC files (among others).

Safari? Really? It's awful IMO.

FileZilla. A great free FTP app that does its job easily, correctly, and is a snap to use. I couldn't function without it.
