What kind of speeds do you lose if you back up wirelessly?

Seems like it wouldn't matter if you just set up TimeMachine to back up all the time.

But if you wanted to transfer a huge file, it would take a long time.

Just wondering the speeds, vs plugging in an external drive...

MBP 2.3 Ghz 4GB RAM 860 GB SSD, iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 32GB RAM, Fusion Drive 1TB
It's actually pretty fast for me. With Wireless 802.11n 1 GB only takes like few minutes. It was super slow on 802.11g >_<" Took like 20hrs or something. >_>

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Im positive my router is N so Im excited about hooking up my external drive!
