THere are loads of ways

Firstly do you have an Intel Mac, or tell us that mac you have

And is IE all you would want, or do you want the option of running more windows apps as well

more info, our company has web based program that was written for i/e we are not getting customers with mac books requesting a fix for this. I am sure mac can handle this simple task.

Install Windows 7 via Bootcamp or Paralells etc and run IE 8 or 9 from there.

Only way to do it.

Or ... consider re-writing the web based program to allow other ( modern ) browsers and open up your company to a bigger world.

My 2 cents.

Or get your company to move with the times and ditch that dreadful browser :)

As has been said, there are two answers to this.

1. Get your customers to install a virtual machine to run windows to get IE to work, or use a product based on WINE to run IE

2. Get your site to work with modern web standards, as that is how things are going with more macs, iPads and android devices accessing the web.

Not being mean, but its a big ask asking customers to jump through hoops installing windows compatibility when they just want to access your services. I know I would not want to spend an hour or so installing a work around when I could spend less than an hour looking for an alternative service.

Best the company does the work for the customer, rather than expecting the customer to tailor their own setup to meet your company's requirements

Does the site actually require IE or does it just check for it? If it only checks for it, it's possible to have his browser pretend to be IE so that it can use the application.

Seriously?!?

In my professional opinion, fix your code.

Reality check: have you looked at the percentages for non-IE browsers lately?

I'm completely with dysfunction: fix your code!
