No bootable HFS partition found

Thats the error message I get after I installed OSX 10.1 over 9.1. and then reinstalled 9.0 back again. The system boots eventually into OS 9.0 without any issues but the top of the screen keeps repeating the above message over and over again for about 4-5 lines across my screen.

Can anyone tell me how to not have this message displayed ?

To me that sounds like OS X 10.1 was not properly removed.

How about booting from the OS 9 CD, and initialising the disk and then installing?

Yes I did use the initialize option before installing OS 9.0. I also went as far as writing zeroes using the same disk utility on a second reinstall. Still the same message. What about repartitioning would that fix this message ?
