Trouble accessing parentlock "A copy of Firefox is already open"

I deleted everything firefox related in my computer, I want to reinstall the program but its trying to access parentlock files & profile.ini that do not exist anywhere in my computer... i dont know where to start... HELP.

I cannot access the files through terminal & or application support

I keep getting the message "
A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time."

and have looked at numerous help forums trying to figure it out!

Open up Activity Monitor (/Applications/Utilities) and quit any processes of Firefox that may be open there. That should do it for you.
