Hi,
Just want to check before I purchase the necessary HW ...
Situation is like this ...
Say I have an external USB Audio Interface (e.g. Behringer UCA222) connected to my MacBook Pro. Can I play an audio file and have the output routed out of the 3.5mm audio jack and then record the same audio stream via the Behringer UCA222 by connecting an optical cable from the 3.5mm audio jack to the optical input of the UCA222?? Some sort of a loopback audio recording.
Personally I think it is possible as long as the output and input interface of the audio playing/recording SW is set correctly. But I would like to know if anyone had tried it before and was successful. Planning to purchase the Behringer UCA222 specifically for this function.
Thanks in advance for the feedback/suggestions.
