wireless adapter

new kid on the block here. i have a older iMac g5 running leopard, can
i use a net gear n600 wireless adapter to a linksys g router? or do
i have to get a airport extreme card, any help appreciated

The trick will be finding an adapter that has drivers for a PPC Mac. I think your best bet would be to go with a vendor that caters to Macs, specifically:

thanks for the info, might try to hard wire gotta get into ceiling in basement. or go to the airport extreme card. will the g5 automatically
pick this up and display instructions for setup? and will the link sys
router work with this application?

I would imagine that this adapter will come with its own documentation on how to install it. You might try contacting the vendor to get an idea of how setup works.

Yes, it should work properly with your Linksys router. Any device that corresponds touts compatibility with the 802.11 standard should be compatible with one another.
