Wireless Network does not connect to router

STATUS: UNSOLVED, New problem

I have a Macbook 4,1 (Old white one) running on Mac OSX 10.5.8.

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

My Airport Card seems to have given up on life and with my school semester coming to an end I was (and still am) in desperate need of a fast solution. Handing it over to an applestore would mean I would have it back somewhere near the end of the semester or even after.
As a solution I got suggested a Wireless Network USB and I got this one:

SITECOM Wireless Network Adapter
USB micro 300N x2

¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

The problem:

The Wireless Network Utility is succesfully installed.
The WNUtility (Version 1.8.8) does say that the signal strength is 100%, that it is connected and the channel and Mac adress is right. Yet no internet.

So, why isn't it working, any suggestions?

Um, you do not have 10.8.5. There is no such version of OSX. You probably have 10.5.8.

10.5 is OSX Leopard, 10.6 is OSX Snow Leopard and 10.7 is the new OSX Lion.

°coughs°

How embarassing, luckily I´m not the only one here in the house who is apparently suffering from dislexia.
Thank you for your reply, hope you had a good laugh :p

No laugh at all, just wanted to help as if you kept looking for a driver for 10.8 you would never find one. Glad I could help.
