Will the old SATA HDD from my 2006 MacBook fit in my PowerPC G4 tower? in the system profiler there is a SATA column but it says no info, so I assumed that there was a second HDD slot available for a SATA HDD. Thanks.

Nope, the G4s had PATA (parallel ATA)

You can get PCI cards to add a SATA bus to the system, but last time I looked they were pricey for the Mac compatible versions.

You could buy a usb SATA external enclosure, but then you would need a USB2 PCI card, which thankfully are pretty cheap.
