New iPod in january?

I heard somewhere that the real video ipod is coming out in january, not a ipod with video capabilities. can anyone tell me if this is true or if itll come out sometime near the month of january?

I sure hope not.... some body would probably go on an angry rampage and stab Steve.

not the real video ipod - but like every single thing
apple produce, they will go on and improve its capability.

they usually do this within months, so january sounds right for
somekind of upgrade.

its called progress and its what is stopping me buying a
5g ipod.

I could see them bringing out a "high-end" iPod with a larger screen maybe, but the "regular" iPod won't be updated until next summer...
The "high-end" model might cost around 400-500$.

Of course this is pure speculation and probably not that realistic since the models in that price range have never done well for apple...

**** i sure hope not because i'm going out today to buy a new 30Gb iPod. I'm going to retire my old (not really) 4g40GB for the newer one with only 30GB.

If anything, they will increase the drive sizes. Something like 30, 60 and 80Gb drives maybe....
