iPhone 4S won't charge via car charger

My recently purchased iPhone 4S won't charge via my car charger but charges OK when plugged into a wall outlet. My iPhone 4 charges just fine via the car charger. Tried a differenct USB cable with same results. My wife's 4S charges fine via the same car charger.

Ideas? Thoughts?
