i am a first time mac buyer and am looking at either getting a macbook pro 13inch 2.7 i7 (early 2011) for $1500 or the latest 13 inch 2.4 i5 for $1300. any suggestions

2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Hard to make any suggestions with the information given (both are good computers, and relatively similar in configuration)...other than the old computer purchasing rule of "buy as much computer as you can afford"!:)
